Tunisian Crochet

Monie taught me how to do a tunisian crochet when she was down here and so I've had fun making quick little swatches with different techniques.

This one is called Ploughs and Cables.

It's an Octopus!!!

You see I have not left you all, I have just been busy with life. I just recently made this octopus for my newest neice, Andrea, and it took a whole of 2 days to make. It looks soooo darn cute, I am very proud of it.

Things have been busy with me and work. Currently trying to find another one, I am tired of slinging pizzas around. I have also been busy with my mother, she became a bit sick and with a lot of the worrying and testing I have not been busy with my needle work. Things are well now and the scare is off but still keeping a watchful eye on her. I will keep you guys updated.

Sooooo, next I am working on my embroider stuff and see how that goes.

Here is the pic of the octopus......

Love ya'll,

Stuck on a Stitch??

Often times, when trying to decipher a pattern, I'll find myself stuck on a stitch I'm unfamiliar with or terminology I don't know.

When I encounter this problem, I turn to my trusty friend, about.com.

Try both knitting.about.com and crochet.about.com to find answers when you need them, not only do they often have wonderful free patterns and projects, but their search function is top notch and I always find a tutorial on what I'm looking for on the first try.

Hope it helps you all!
