Cheyenne's Poncho...

So Cheyenne has been bugging me to make her something, so I took a stab at making a poncho. I took her to the yarn store and had her pick out two colors, of course, they had to be hot pink and bright purple. I picked out a pattern and VOILA a poncho was born. Here she is modeling it for you out there looking at our blog.

Boobie's Baby Shower

So these pictures have nothing to do with knitting or crocheting, I wanted to show off The Knit Wit Boobie and her beautiful belly and the baby shower that we (Simone and I) threw for her. So here are some pictures for you all to enjoy.

Baby P's First Pink Blanket

Since finding out I'm expecting a girl, I was excited to be able to make a blanket in either the traditional pink or blue.  Here is what I started in a pink sport weight yarn:

Crystal's Crazy Rainbow Scarf

Two of the girls I work with have requested hand made scarves for Christmas and so that's exactly what they're getting.

Crystal is a lovely young lady with a whimsical flair to her fashion sense.  Earlier this year I made a black beret for her and thought I'd make a matching scarf, but when I started it in black it was way too bland for this vivacious young woman.  Instead, I did what you see here with two tiny black strips capping the ends.

Linda's Christmas Afghan.

Linda is John's mother. I am making her a Fall colored Ripple Afghan. I just hope that I can finish it by Christmas and get started on moms Afghan as well. Here is the start of Linda's Afghan.

It's my Hippy Hippy Shake Belt! (you know the song, hippy hippy... nevermind)

Hee Hee, I hate it when I try to be funny and it comes out lame! Anyhoo, here is a belt that I made for my over the average sized hips, I love it, I made a bit to big so I have to adjust it a bit smaller (never thought I'd say that about something going around my hips). So I have work quite a few times and have been complimented so I know I did a good job. Here is a set of pics, in which Cheyenne is helping me model in one of them.

Its That Time of Year

Its that time of year in which we all start to think about what others might enjoy as holiday gifts.  Accordingly, it just so happens at the moment that every project I'm currently working on or have in the planning stages are gifts for the holidays!

Forgive my silence for a short time while I prioritize these projects and I PROMISE to do at least one block a week extra to showcase on the blog.

Baby Shower Favor Bag

Monie is throwing a good friend a baby shower and wants to give the favors out in mini lantern bags.  Using a full size pattern yesterday I was able to come up with this... what do you think?  Oh, and please excuse my messy desk!  In my defense, however, you can see most of it is crafting stuff, different yarns and crochet hooks and if you look in the far top right corner, the baby sock roses I made for Monie's hosted baby shower and to the left of the favor bag the florist tape involved in the process (not to mention CDs, a napkin and mailing labels - whew!).

Now, assuming this is truly what Miss Monie had in mind, I'll recreate it and actually write out the pattern and share it with you here :)

Traveling Scarf Panel

The two knit wits and their guest poster are making a traveling scarf!  Here is my first panel for this project.  I've finished two so far and sent them on but I want the second to be a bit of a secret so I won't post it here :)

Oh, and don't mind the blue bow, its just to mark this as the 'right side' for the next person in the chain!
