In July our friend Monie visited and we spent way too much time with yarn. This resulted in a resurgence of interest in crochet and a new interest in knitting (she hadn't know how before).
Monie has graciously agreed to allow me to showcase some of her recent work here as she's become quite prolific in the past two months!
First, here's a knit project proving that I really was successful in passing on enough of the basics to get her started (in the round no less!):
Regarding this project Miss Monie says "Making round things is fun!" She also goes on to mention that this isn't exactly the best train/bus travel project and thinks next time she'll use circular needles instead of worrying about poking passengers' eyes out!
- The Knit Wit Boobie, for Monie :)
How many of us can relate to this? Notice at the very end how she just transfers her obsession to the scissors (like so many of us do from crochet to knitting or vice versa!)
This blanket took me FOREVER and I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that its finally finished!
Here's a more detailed close up:
Two best friends' journey teaching themselves and each other the various intricacies of needle crafts; most recently knitting and crochet. Posts focus on pictures and patterns of current and completed projects.
