Patterns for Traveling Scarf

So with my knitting/crochet group we are making a traveling scarf where we each make a square part of the scarf and then we pass it to the next person as we obtain a new square and just add to that. So these are two squares I have done, I have decided to use the slant one, although, I have to fix it. I need to make a bit loser to make it 5" X 4" long. Tell me what ya'll think.

This is my own personal made up pattern (well I am sure someone has it out there, but I did think of it on my own and put it to good use.)
