It's my Hippy Hippy Shake Belt! (you know the song, hippy hippy... nevermind)

Hee Hee, I hate it when I try to be funny and it comes out lame! Anyhoo, here is a belt that I made for my over the average sized hips, I love it, I made a bit to big so I have to adjust it a bit smaller (never thought I'd say that about something going around my hips). So I have work quite a few times and have been complimented so I know I did a good job. Here is a set of pics, in which Cheyenne is helping me model in one of them.

Its That Time of Year

Its that time of year in which we all start to think about what others might enjoy as holiday gifts.  Accordingly, it just so happens at the moment that every project I'm currently working on or have in the planning stages are gifts for the holidays!

Forgive my silence for a short time while I prioritize these projects and I PROMISE to do at least one block a week extra to showcase on the blog.

Baby Shower Favor Bag

Monie is throwing a good friend a baby shower and wants to give the favors out in mini lantern bags.  Using a full size pattern yesterday I was able to come up with this... what do you think?  Oh, and please excuse my messy desk!  In my defense, however, you can see most of it is crafting stuff, different yarns and crochet hooks and if you look in the far top right corner, the baby sock roses I made for Monie's hosted baby shower and to the left of the favor bag the florist tape involved in the process (not to mention CDs, a napkin and mailing labels - whew!).

Now, assuming this is truly what Miss Monie had in mind, I'll recreate it and actually write out the pattern and share it with you here :)

Traveling Scarf Panel

The two knit wits and their guest poster are making a traveling scarf!  Here is my first panel for this project.  I've finished two so far and sent them on but I want the second to be a bit of a secret so I won't post it here :)

Oh, and don't mind the blue bow, its just to mark this as the 'right side' for the next person in the chain!

Trick or Treat!!!!

It's my candy corn bag. So last year for Halloween I made pumpkin trick or treat bags for the girls, this year I have decided candy corn is the way to go. So I found this pattern on Lion Brand for them, however, it calls for felting the bag, and since I have never felted I left it just the way it is. I had to add on a few rounds to the bag, when I made it at first it was tiny, I think maybe 3 lollipops would fit in it. So me being the skillfull crocheter that I am (NOT!) I added the rounds and now it's a little longer than a food tall, just right to fit all the candy in the world. Well maybe not the world, but hey I am Cuban I am allowed to exaggerate. Well without further adooooooooooo, here it is.

Candy Corn Pillow

So I was trying to make a candy corn Halloween trick or treat bag, but the pattern I have for some reason made it a bit small, as you can see, so I have turned this bag into a little pillow and gave it to my neighbor Brian. I fiddled around with the pattern that I got from Lion Brand and have made it bigger and now working on the first of five bags that I am making, of course, when I am done I will post it. Here is the pillow for now.

It's my first ever fingerless gloves.

So I saw this stitch (star stitch) and I fell in LOVE and I have always wanted a pair of fingerless mitss (why I don't know, I probably will never use them) so I made them with this awesomely beautiful stitch. They came out a bit small, so I am most likely gonna give them away or just keep them, since we all know how attached we are to our first attempts at new projects. I am gonna make myself a new pair when I am done with my next project.

Now for my next project, I am making candy corn bags for the wonderful kids in my life, last year they got pumpkins, this year it's candy corn. I am also working on the travelling scarf between Boobie, Monie and I. I am sure one of us will keep you updated on it. Til then I leave you with the pics of my mitts.

Love ya,

Bed Time Bear.

So I have been promising Keila her Care Bear for I don't know how long and it's finally done. I had a bit of problems with the nose, it kept coming out wayyyy to big so I redid it about a million times, I got it as small as I could and it still came out pretty kick ass. Well as usual here some pics of Bed Time Bear.
